For my last project in class, I had to create a sprite movie which basically contains two sprite characters preforming different actions while one background. I had so much fun doing this because it was both interesting and a challenge. My favorite part was when importing the images doing different actions, which actually can be very tedious depending on how many actions the character performs. But, this was something I really enjoyed doing, so check out my movie and tell me what you think! Thanks!
This blog is about what I learned in my computer class at Curtis High School.

Interactive Drum Set
For this project, I had to create an interactive drum kit as a button. A button is when you hover or click your mouse on something and it both changes color and does something, like say reveal an answer or make something else pop up. For my drum kit, when you click on the cymbals and drums, they change colors and start playing music, a cymbal crash and drum beat, respectively. I had a lot of fun working on this project and I learned a lot of useful things that I didn't know about before.

Welcome to the Math Fair
For this project, we had to create a math related banner for the Math Fair held at Curtis High School on Thursday. The project took a while and covered some important topics using Flash. The project was very fun and interesting to do with my partner, and we had both had a good time. I really learnt a lot from this project and I enjoyed my time too.

Flash Animated Face
This is my animated flash face that I created using once again Flash. The face makes various expressions and works like a pivot animator. For every frame, I had to erase its current expression and draw on another one. And then once it was all completed, and I pushed play, it moved all on its own and like an actual person making different faces.

Moving Stickfigure Animation
Last time, I created a pivot animator, this idea is pretty much the same, except I made it so it stays in one spot and just moves there. This is a pretty simple idea but it can get complex if one wants to make it that way. It was pretty easy for me, except for one thing: the speed; I couldn't get that to slow down, even a little, so that's why it made seem a little weird. But, I'll do better next time. Here it is:

Moving Objects in Flash
Other than painting pictures in Flash, one can make an animated gif as well. I did that this time and for this new project, I was expected to produce two different shapes and make them both move. It was a pretty easy and quick project and it's something that anyone can do. I really had fun doing it. Check it out.

Flash Drawing Tools
When drawing different things in Flash, one can already see that there are many tools located in the tool box and it may seem a bit overwhelming at first, as it was for me. But, if one were to check out each tool individually, they would see how easy it is to differentiate between all of them. Each tool is specific and helps change your image in many different ways. There are so many ways to change not just one image but different words as well. Check out my flash drawing and try making one yourself!

Windows Movie Maker
After creating my pivot animator and uploading it as a gif, I didn't stop there. I took on the next step, the next challenge and transported it into a movie on Windows Movie Maker. This is something that requires about five steps and if you're really good at it, will take you maybe a half hour to do and perfect, It took me about a week, but that's only because I'm just starting out. I really enjoyed doing this project and I hope to create a lot more movies like this in the future. Here, check out my work and tell me how I've done!

Pivot Free Runner
For a project in class, I had to create a pivot free runner. At first, I thought the task was going to be difficult and tedious, but as I went along, it got easier and fun too. Pivot was pretty easy to use, but uploading the background was a bit hard for me. Making a pivot free runner animation is pretty easy though and something I think a lot of people would enjoy if they tried it. Come check out mine and maybe you'll be tempted to make one of your own!:

History of Animation
It's hard to believe that animation has been around longer than the stone ages, but it's true. The first source of animation was from 40,000 years ago in Asia and Europe and were known as cave paintings. I thought that was really interesting because I could have never guessed that this type of thing could be so old. And it was also really interesting that something that had been drawn on a wall could be transformed into something else entirely.
